If you are going to build a 40' catamaran, you have to have somewhere to actually work on it and build it!
Given how cold it was when we started, our facilities consisted of: a workshop (the shed), a heated gluing area (garage attached to the house) and the building shed which is fairly open and breezy.

Shed modifications

How we do things in the country!

Installing 2 x 9mtr long 200kg I beams to make the shed post free, wide enough to fit the Sarah.
Each beam weighed 250kgs and too heavy for us to lift! Lucky we have a tractor!

Extending the shed forward 3 metres. It's now post free.

The mandatory boat building shed tarp!
The alternative working area

What do you do when it gets too cold outside for glueing.
Move into the house
Michelle keeps two pet rabbits in enclosures inside so its only reasonable I bring my pet project inside. Seems reasonable!
Given it was -2 deg this morning the heated house is a great building environment. Shame the hulls don't fit through the door.
This is joining the scaffed chines end to end to achieve 12m lengths.
